Day 36 - Bears, Bears, and More Bears

Rapid City, South Dakota

The original plan was to go to Devil's Tower today. But the 4 hour round trip drive did not sound appealing, so we stayed around Rapid City instead. The above picture is from Bear Country USA.

Around Town

If you are ever in The Black Hills of South Dakota, specifically in Rapid City, I highly recommend Ron's Cafe. Hannah and I had the breakfast burrito and it did not disappoint!

Another fancy McDonald's :)

Another piece of the Berlin Wall. This one wasn't decorated like the other one we saw, but it was still cool to see a piece of history.

Bear Country USA

This place was great. It was mostly a drive through nature park, but there was also a section that you walk through. The highlights were the bear cubs and wolf cubs. I think the kids would have sat there watching them all day if I let them. I added my other pictures (and videos) to my South Dakota album. But be warned: there are some super cute videos of the bear cubs and wolf cubs. 

Dinner

I cooked our favorite meal tonight. We haven't had it in over a month. We also visited with Bryan (Asgoroth) and Melissa (geoquacker) before we leave for the last leg of our trip tomorrow. We also got a couple of Asgoroth's geocaches today.

So far, we have driven 8,300 miles and have been through 18 states. We have also visited 17 National Parks, 9 additional historic sites, and 1 presidential library. Tonight is our last night in Rapid City. We are back on the road tomorrow for the last leg of our trip.
